Despite all my best ambitions, today's blog efforts have gone a little wonkily sour.
To begin,
I am strangely achy and overly tired, though not ill I do have an acute case of crochet fever and a crushing need to sit and hook and switch off from the world. I perservered against all the best judgement I could muster, taking photo's of my new quilt top and the results are alarming. Too much rain and too much strong sunshine (and awful photo shadows) later and some perfectly timed camera battery running out at the wrong minute drama and I have decided to give up.................the aches, the rain and my camera are all telling me to sit on the sofa and just crochet. So that is entirely what I am going to do! for the next few days until I feel less ache-ily moany and perkier and quiltier and photo-taking-without-shadow-drama-able. I do hope I am not letting you down if you were hoping for a more joyfully inspirationally post and hope you will return soon when I am hoping to return with said quilt top and oooooooh.......................................................................................................
.....a giveaway ;)
happy hooking!!!! Sometimes you just need a break from quiltiness!

I can certainly understand crochet fever when you have something that lovely upon which to work! Colors and pattern are sumptuous!

'Oh no' hope you feel better soon though sitting, crocheting and some good old switching off is a wonderful medicine in itself.
take care,

Your crochet is absolutely gorgeous. Sometimes it's OK to take a break from everything and just crochet. I've been doing a lot of crochet too and have 2 ripples very near complete!

Why do bloggers always apologize when they don't need to? :-)
I actually love the bottom photo - the shadows and light are very interesting against the texture of your crochet... Which you should work on. Immediately. And turn off the world for a while. No apologies. :-)

I hope your aches and pains don't develop into a cold. Take care of yourself and enjoy your crochet.
You provide so much inspiration with your blog, so please don't ever feel the need to apologise when you want to take some time out.

I crochet and quilt too and though I've been on a quilting jag. I find that they feed each other. They feed my whole person both my math brain and my creative side.

hope you are feeling better soon ... know how you're feeling ... I get that way too and there's nothing better than a crochet hook or knitting needles and some yarn, a kitty or two or three sitting next to you and a warm blanket wrapped around you!

Loving the crochet though!
I flit between one and other and it doesn't hurt to get lost in one now and then!
