This quilt was made a while ago, it was made before I made my 'Fancy' quilt - which uses the exact same pattern only this one was made with two charm packs instead of one layer cake (as 'Fancy' was).
There was something that just didn't ring with me about this finished quilt, the grey solid triangles were meant to stand out from the bright colours of the other fabrics but they decided not to. Instead it all just seemed to merge into one so you couldn't really see the pattern thing going on.
Still nice enough little quilt just wish my contrast fabric picking skills had been more switched on that day.
Fabric is 2 charm packs of 'Hoopla' by Moda and Bella Solid in Gray.
Finished size - 31" x 38"
A pattern for the 'Fancy' version ( made from a layer cake and measuring 53" x 62") is available here and here.
This quilt currently lives on a pile on top of my bookshelf. Sad but true.

Very cute quilt !

Isn“t it amazing how a quilt pattern looks totally differnt with another fabric line? I love how hoopla works with the grey you should find a better place for it;-)

To be honest, I don't think it is your pattern, I think it is that fabric. I have made a pretty crazy quilt out of hoopla before (you can see it here http://www.needlespinsandbakingtins.com/2011/04/girly-quilts-part-2.html) and it was made even more crazier by the pattern and colour clash in hoopla. I love your pattern, the fabric... not so much!

It's the perfect size for a baby quilt. Personally, I think it's LOVELY. So bright and cheerful.

This is perfect for a winters day. It is very dreary here today! Does this pattern us templates?

Hi Lara,
The pattern does not use any templates.

sometimes fabrics have a way of asserting themselves despite our attempts to manipulate them..i like the way there is no distinct pattern even though you planned otherwise..and the colours are beautiful too..jane

Aneela, I LOVE that quilt!!! I love the colours. The pattern is cool - sometimes I think the pattern comes secondary to the overall look. I know you spent hours on it. But I think it is beautiful. I'd use it :)

Aneela,
When I saw this post, I thought "oooh wow, yes I really like that pattern." Seeing the same "Fancy" pattern in a whole different color and scale is great and confirms the awesomeness of the pattern. I didn't notice that the grey corners don't strongly contrast until you mentioned it. I agree, but that doesn't make it a less-worthy quilt. Your choice of pink for the corner bow ties in the other Fancy that you posted really contrast, in a good way.
