A cold January day seems to be a completely inappropriate time to be showing you this little Christmas gift I made last month inspired by sunny days at the beach.
I used 2.5 inch squares of Reunion by Sweetwater and Salt Air by Cosmo Cricket to make a sweet little sunny style table topper. These two collections work really well together like they were made to kiss each other.
I had fun doing a little echo quilting using my seam guide tool on all the white fabric only.
And made up a little family of coordinating coasters.
Finally, I made up a beach hut version of those stuffed little houses I was addicted to making last month to add to the parcel before packing everything up to go and live in sunny Whitstable.
I could do with packing myself off to go live there right now too, brrrr! it is cold today.

That fabric combination is gorgeous! Its making me dream of the beach too....roll on summer!

Your little one is soooo cute and I like your quilting! I thought about what to do with my reunion charm pack and your idea to mix it with salt air is just great1

Our record setting winter warmth was replaced, overnight, with "normal, reality" winter....14F, snow and blustery NW winds. Having said that, the timing of your post couldn't have been more perfect!-) I love the simplicity of your little table quilt. So refreshing in contrast to some of the much overdone machine quilting that is appearing these days. Doreen

So pretty Aneela! I also feel like packaging myself up to go somewhere at the moment and i live in AUSTRALIA! We've had some of the coldest summer days on record, topped off with hail storms, 100km/hr winds and lots and lots of rain!...followed half an hour later by sun...crazy weather! This morning it's ffffreezing hehe.
But in saying that i do believe we've also had some of our hottest days on record too hehe.

As the extremely delighted recipient, I can confirm that these beautiful gifts love living in Whitstable and capture the salty-aired seaside here perfectly! They have pride of place in our living room and shall be treasured. Thank you so much again lovely talented Aneela xxx
PS If it's any consolation, it's even colder here at the moment (though sunny and bright) x

Hi Aneela - just wanted to let you know that I picked up the latest copy of Australian Quilter's Companion today and guess who I saw peeking out at me !! they did a little profile piece on you with some photos followed with a project by the always talented Sarah Fielke using your gorgeous Sherbet Pips fabric - I just happen to have a layer cake of sherbet pips and also some yardage - I knew if I held on long enough a project for this fabric would appear (although I'll have to make mine smaller) :)

Hi Aneela - what size white squares did you use for the corners? I assume you put it together like a snowball block?
