Pay close attention to today's blog post because as well as writing stuff about stuff I've been making, I'm also going to attempt a magic (abracadabra) trick.
I've been 'bagging' recently and it's all Jeni's fault with her fantastic free tutorial to make highly useful and addictive drawstring bags. I made a couple a while ago but as these are now employed full time to hold my collection of thread spools and trims, I decided to make just one more to hold my cross stitch project so that I don't start each month trying to remember where I left it last month (took me a while this month I can tell you).
I decided that a foxy cross stitch bag was in order and modified the pattern very slightly to use just one fabric for the front because I'm lazy about these kinds of things frankly. The foxy bag was made and I decided not to stop just now because it had got me all in the 'baggy' mood and I needed to make more.
My daughters convinced me that buying Jeni's pattern to make this bag in multiple sizes was well worth the money (because it's my money being spent not theirs and therefore everything is always worth the money in their little eyes). As soon as the pattern was bought they convinced me I had to make them the laundry bag first because it would be well worth it as it would keep all their dirty clothes nicely tidy and out of sight - you can imagine what music this was to my ears, I snipped and stitched away with dreams of tidy bedrooms wafting brightly through my brain.
And then I stitched up some teeeny weeeny bags to make a cute baggy family of practicality.
I lovingly hung the drawstring of the new laundry bag over the head of the bedstead and waited for it to work its magic. And you know - they they have stuck to their word and I know longer have to avoid looking at the floor or walk in to their room with my eyes closed to avoid disappointment.
But that is not the magic I was waffling on about at the beginning.
This is - you see it's a magic bag, you put your cross stitch into it while you write your blog post and dat dah da daahhhhh when you take it out again it is done for you!! Incredible but true.
Ahhh! Look at all your yummy bags! They're all so sweet Aneela!!
I'm not sure if my cross stitch bag is magic though! I think it's the foxes! ;)

I have been seeing these little bags everywhere and have liked several of them but your fox bag is making me think i REALLY need this pattern and of course some yardage of those foxes when it is released... but I already knew that ;-)

You're sure that the magic works? That if I put my cross-stitch desserts in this magic bag it'll show up next month with the march dessert already stitchted? I doubt that;-) but nice I'm keeping mine in an ugly plastic bag I'll give Jeni's bag a try. The tutorial is on my list since a while (sadly, but true I didn't make one of it till now).

Okay, I want a magic bag too. It could help me get my projects done more quickly. Is it the foxes that do it? I must get some.

Truly, those bags are magic! Your readers (me included) all want a bag which does all the chores. Are the sly 'ole foxes the ones who work the magic or is it your pixie dust?
