Still here, painting my magic way around the house. On today's exciting make over schedule so far have been - painting the (only slightly classy) folding slatted double door that leads into my downstairs little washroom. It's quite a sticky tricky business negotiating how to go about covering these up in the gloss stuff whilst making sure they stay still enough with their built in folding and unfolding ability for me to do so. I am skating on the perimeter of being quite up to the job today.
The view inside is looking quite pretty with it's handmade quilty covering upping goodness there on the shelf and my little souvenir painting bought on a trip to Crete several years ago ( which helps me feel in a happy holiday mood every time I visit my tiny little ladies room because you know I pretend it is really a window and not a paining at all).
a closer uppy shot of handmade quilty washbag and handwash cosy (yes, I would cosy anything).
Just in case you are curious, inside quilty foxy washbag are housed amongst other things Hello Kitty Liberty products that belong to my daughters who think that my washbag is for them to keep their stuff in.
And finally the most exciting shot of the day - the back of my freshly painted front door - which has me panicking at the thought of the post lady posting some of that posty business through the letter box and it sticking to the back of my front door on it's way down to the floor.
Deep breaths at that thought.
That's all from me to you from the front line of the home decorating ambition for today. More soon.

The word that comes to mind is 'pristine'.....love all your cozies. You have begun a 'movement' to "cozy the world", actually, quite a noble worthy endeavor!!......paint on......

I love your cozies - what a brilliant idea for covering less attractive bottles and things. Paint looks good - a fresh face lift!

Aneela, I love the paint job so far. I'm quite amazed at how prisine it all is. When I paint, which thankfully isn't often, I manage to "paint" the drop cloths, (newspaper, etc) to the very sufaces I'm trying to paint! Yes, I can relate to your fears about letters becoming stuck to the back of the door. I once had a huge wad of junk-mail get stuck in a freshly painted letter box. (Maybe I should have warned the post person about the wet paint?)

Keep Calm and Carry on Painting ;p
It looks wonderful. For the folding doors? It's easier if you take them down and lay them out on a drop cloth or saw horse. You paint one side and let it dry 24 hours then flip and do the other side. ;p
