Summer has started at a very bumpy pace around here, the to do list just keeps on getting longer but I have been making time to keep up with missionholidaysew - at a tortoise pace to slowly slowly catch that holiday monkey.
These nifty holiday coasters were stitched up from the pattern in the book 'last minute patchwork and quilting gifts' by joelle hoverson.
My little girl is obsessed with handstands right now. She must do at least 2000 of them a day (no joke). She only stops handstanding to do the odd cartwheel, back flip or the splits (I get tired just watching her being so energetic).
I caved this morning and decided to buy the pdf version of the Wiksten pattern. I've seen so many lovely versions of these around the internet lately that I could resist no longer. This was inspired in small part by...

I love all of the Christmassy fabrics, and these coasters are adorable, makes me wish it was the festive season, although i'm loving the few days of sunshine, so i'll make do without the rain for a few days yet
I think a summer dress for my little girl would be adorable in the foxy fabric, or the cute pink mushrooms or robins?
