As mentioned yesterday, today there is another giveaway!!!!!!! Now you may not be interested but in case you are the prize is the above mini quilt. Also as mentioned yesterday this giveaway is open to ALL!!!!!
Whether you are new to this blog of mine or a good old always popping by regular you are welcome to join the roulette of stitchy chance. So without further ado let's have ourselves a little introductory inventory of the prize.............
There is a little girl, swinging dreamily from a makeshift tree, not just any old kind of tree but a polka dotted one!!!!!!! Of course there isn't just any old background.......it is all decked out in a little colourburst patchwork of raw edge applique....................... and she doesn't have any old coloured dress on.................it is the very best in kei spotted blue-ness so the wee madam doesn't melt undecipherably into the pinkyorangeness of the background.
OOOOhh a LOT of thought went into this!!!!!!!((!!!!!!)))
added extra's include fallen apples...
and hanging on for dear life apples!
All outlined usefully in black machine-y stitched outline in a free motion style with a side order of sketch-iness.
Of course it would only be right to point out here and now that this mini burst of quiltdom was completely and utterly inspired by this masterpiece of Tacha's
So maybe you are thinking ''''''yawn''''''''!!!!! or maybe...... just maybe you might be wanting a slice of the cake of chance to have a go at winning a little scrap of a quilt, strategically invented to brighten up the walls of little girls everywhere........
Ok -------THE RULES!!!!!!
Anyone is free to have a go at winning by leaving a comment below, let me know what you would have in mind for the quilt if you win and also let me know of one item that is on your very own christmas wishlist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (nosy nosy!)

Can I have a slice of the cake of chance pleeeaaase, it is gorgoeus and would be a wonderful, wonderful Christmas present for my littest one and here 'ssshhhhh' dolly.
Have a lovely day,
Nina xxxxxxxxxxx
ps. I've asked Santa for a tall dark and handsome, but I'm not holding out much hope so a new food processor would be nice - boring, I know!
Posted by: Nina - Tabiboo | 12/08/2009 at 12:27 PM
oh! How sweet! She reminds me of me on our family swing hanging off of the big willow in the back. Anyway, I would likely give the quilt to my cousin who just had a baby girl, Faith, a couple of months ago. It would be hard to part with her though! As for Christmas, one thing on my list is fabric of course!
Thank-you for the giveaway!
Cheers,

This would go into my daughter India's bedroom, on her wall. It is just gorgeous!!
Now what would I like for Christmas???....The Socialite Dress Pattern by Anna Maria Horner - I know I really don't want much! I wonder if I will get it though?
Posted by: Megan Kay | 12/08/2009 at 12:32 PM
I love the one with the little girl swing. On my Christmas wish list is fabric and money to buy fabric. I did already get a bit of money from my wonderful in-laws. And I asked my husband for the "Taylor Swift" CD.
Posted by: amy(sew~amy) | 12/08/2009 at 12:32 PM
This is quite literally perfect. I love the picturesque quality of your giveaway works. Colette would love this hanging in her room!
I asked Santa to bring me lots and lots of Hope Valley for Christmas!
Thanks for a chance.

Your swinging girl is terribly, terribly sweet.
At this moment I am mooning over the Bialetta Mukka. I do this yearly (as long as I've been aware of it) but I don't think Santa will bring me one.
Posted by: Linda | 12/08/2009 at 12:57 PM
oh wow I love this little quilt
reminds me of many summer days swinging on a tree swing like that as a young child at an aunts house
wow hadn't thought about that for years.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I would hang this little mini quilt either in our office (where I keep most of my sewing "stuff") or in the living room since I think it would look nice and we are in serious need of some wall decor. I have a lot of sewing books on my Christmas list including "I Heart Patchwork" and "One Yard Wonders".
Posted by: Kaye Prince | 12/08/2009 at 01:05 PM
I have also commented recently! I commented on the pincushion tutorial post, the blocky munki quilt post, and (of course) yesterday's giveaway post! Thanks for the chance, your little quilt is beautiful!

This is such a sweet mini quilt,(but then all your work is lovely)
i have loads of wool on my christmas list this year! & a few sewing books too!
Posted by: Kelly | 12/08/2009 at 01:14 PM
OMGoodness!!! This is soooo cute. I love swings. I just went and looked at Tacha's quilt, you are both completely amazing!! How cute is that girl and her cat relaxing on their quilt??
We are having a very quiet Christmas, I only have one request, the hard covered box set of the Twilight Saga novels. I'm well and truly hooked. I've read them through twice in the last month and want to read them again already. Ahhhh, Edward, sigh. :-)
Posted by: Kelly | 12/08/2009 at 01:15 PM
Claiming my second chance to win your gorgeous quiltie.
I often stop by to say "hello" and comment on your latest amazing creation.
I've always been a chatterbox, any wonder my daughter talks from the minute she wakes up until she goes to sleep! LOL
Posted by: Kelly | 12/08/2009 at 01:18 PM
I just love what you do and I hope I win this beauty! But if I don't, at least I have inspiration!
On my Christmas list, there is a new sewing machine, and as I have been very nice, I already can play with it! I am a lucky girl!
Thank you for the giveaway!
Posted by: Sylvie | 12/08/2009 at 01:18 PM
Third times the charm right? Well, 3 is my fave number, so here's hoping.
I snapped up some of your gorgeous fabric recently, and treated myself to a couple of your lovely stitcheries too. Must get stitching!!!
Thanks for these lovely giveaways, you are such a love.
Hugs, Kelly :-)

I have been enjoying making hexies with your first christmas fabric!
Posted by: Valentina | 12/08/2009 at 01:23 PM
I don't know how you could ever let this beauty go but i would give it a lovely home. I'm working on a series of miniquilts to hang on the wall of my girls' room. It would be PERFECT. I am so in love with it. :)
Posted by: Cara | 12/08/2009 at 01:30 PM
Must. Win. ADORABLE. Quilt! MUST! :-) Such a charming quilt, Aneela! She would go up on my sewing room right above my machine so I could see her and enjoy her and then veer off sewing course as I gaze upon her. :-) I want a set of those 500 colored pencils with the fantastic names for Christmas. Won't happen, but a girl can dream. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
Posted by: amy | 12/08/2009 at 01:35 PM
I do believe this is my very first comment ever on your site. Being the mother of grown up boys, I do not want the adorable dolly quilt for myself. I'd give it to the momma of a sweet baby girl named Alice Rose. Said momma is so busy with her new baby that it might be some time before she can get back to making adorable dolly quilts of her own.
"All I want for Christmas is..." a SNUGGY! Pretty tacky, I know, but I've got my reasons.
Posted by: Diane | 12/08/2009 at 01:40 PM
Thanks for the chance to win this yummy little quilt! I love it! I would give it a home in my sewing room... so I can glance up at it anytime and be inspired =)
One thing on my Christmas list is...the book Weekend Sewing by Heather Ross.
Cheers!
Posted by: Cristin | 12/08/2009 at 01:46 PM
I love your quilt. The colors and the girl swinging is priceless. If I won the quilt I would hang it in my sewing room. One thing on my Christmas list: I want a warmer for my tea cup so when I am sewing it will stay warm.
Posted by: Rebecka | 12/08/2009 at 01:57 PM
I would love to win this mini quilt! It would hang in my bedroom/sewing room :)
Something on my Christmas wishlist is a TV which I really don't think anyone is just going to give to me. On the more dreamier wishlist is Denyse Schmidts Hope Valley and some of her new quilt patterns!
Posted by: Melanie | 12/08/2009 at 01:59 PM
OH MY, HOW CUTE!!! I just love this little quilt. I would hang in in my sewing room to make me smile everyday.
As for Christmas, like most others I want fabric. I would also like a surprise, something I do not know about under the tree. Something fun.
Posted by: Pam A | 12/08/2009 at 02:19 PM
Um- WOW - that's just amazing! It would join my wall-of-minis in my sewing space, providing wonderful inspiration as I quilt! And my wish is for MORE sewing time :)
Posted by: Angela | 12/08/2009 at 02:23 PM
And I'm enjoying your Christmas fabric from spoonflower :)
Posted by: Angela | 12/08/2009 at 02:24 PM
Aww, I love this piece... reminds me of my daughter, and if I happened to win it would be a wonderful gift for her room.
As for myself, I really really would like a new sewing machine! My old lady is just not what she used to be, the bobbin winder doesn't work, she is loud and probably very tired, and it's about time for her to retire. ;)
Beautful work here, btw! Happy holidays to you!
Posted by: Meghan | 12/08/2009 at 02:30 PM
Oh I love the stitching on this quilt!!!! How cute! On my list...I would love a gift certificate to Amazon.com for books or to a LQS!
Posted by: upstatelisa | 12/08/2009 at 02:37 PM
I had swing in my back garden as a child - i LOVED it. As an adult i'm now plagued with quite bad motion sickness so would love to sit and look at her swinging away! I would put her on the wall of my sewing room with the other beauties i've received. For Chrimbo i have a HUGE pile of books on my list for Santa, but everyone is really sick of buying me books so i have to keep my fingers tightly crossed for them!! I would also love fabric but everyone thinks i've already got enough...*sigh*
Posted by: flossyblossy | 12/08/2009 at 02:40 PM
I love the girl on the swing! We just bought a wii so now we have games on our list :)
Posted by: mj | 12/08/2009 at 02:51 PM
Oh My god I love this mini quilt sooooo much. I have jst brought my first home so it will look lovely adorning one of my walls (can only afford basic white paint, so will add some colour) I have asked santa to build on my stash, I'm running unashamidly low as I have used so much of it already!!
Posted by: Louise | 12/08/2009 at 02:58 PM
I just love this quilt. I would keep it, just in case there is ever a girl in our family. Who can resist that awesome quilt.

I subscribe to your blog but I am not sure if I have actually commented before or not. Tisk, tisk.
I absolutely adore this little masterpiece!! If I won I would be keeping this little cutie all to myself, hanging it on the wall in my studio. :)
On my Christmas list this year is that new point and shoot digital camera with the LCD screen in the front as well as the back. So I can take numerous photos of myself and with others & they will come out great instead of always cutting off heads!
Thank you so much for the generous giveaway!
Crossing my fingers,
Jaclyn

this would be for my 2.5 year old daughter to wrap her babies in (most of the babies are stuffed animals, but hey, we're all mamals here, all except the stuffed salmon that is).
on my christmas list is a necklace charm, I've been hunting for a good letter I, but they don't look pretty just dangling there, so I'm looking for the perfect Bell charm to represent my dear sweet Isabelle. (we call her Belle).
Posted by: Genevieve | 12/08/2009 at 04:30 PM
oh Aneela this is absolutely fab!!!!! Love all the little details and those legs and shoes are just wonderful! Just love it and I feel proud if I inspired it in any way!
Christmas wish list.... Obviously more fabric but more importantly to get my business license.
Posted by: Tacha | 12/08/2009 at 04:38 PM
Aneela, you're so sweet. My daughter would love this swinger, having been a professional toddler-swinger herself, and continues to be one in circus school at age 11.
On my Christmas list I have a rolling tool box in which I would like to store all my sewing notions so they are ready to go on retreat at all times. You never know when there will be an emergency retreat!

Hi I would keep the beautiful little quilt all to myself and hang it on the wall in my sewing room as this is where I can indulge my girly side in a house where I am the only girl. I have asked for a couple of quilting books.

The mini quilt is so stunning, oh my heart be still! I would use it as a wall hanging in my daughters bedroom or if I could handle it being touched it would make a excellent cover for her babies, yep I love her enough!!!
My wishlist is full of materials, sewing books and scrapbooking products and if I have been really good maybe Santa will bring me my new lens!!

Oh Aneela, this little lovely really speaks to me. I would need to keep it on the wall of my sewing room until I find out if my first grandbaby due in May is a girl or boy! It is so cute. One thing on my wish list for Christmas is for my only daughter to move closer to us as it now takes three days to drive to see her.

THIS little girl on the swing has to be THE most precious piece of art I've seen!! It will be perfect for my friend who is adopting a little girl from Ethiopia. My friend adores both applique and the happy colors you've selected. All my fingers and toes are crossed for this one!

I stumbled onto your site via Flickr and this is so lovely, I just had to enter. I'm pregnant (with a girl, we think) and this beautiful mini quilt would be a treasure above her bed.
