Here it is, a little sneaky peek into the world of my newest line for Moda - Sew Stitchy. This collection will be shown at Spring Market in Kansas in a few weeks time but you know me, always want to make sure my readers are the first ones to see ;) I wonder if you would be up for a fun little game? Now that you've seen a teeny glimpse - do you think that you could take a guess at what is behind this line? Maybe, tell me what you think is going on in the fabrics up there or have a little prediction for what other prints in the line might be????
I'd love to know what you're thinking :)

OOOOOHHHHH! Sample spree here I come!!!!! I'm "hoping" that you'll have maybe an all over hexagon/honeycomb type print...maybe a larger stitched bird and flower print... Whatever it is...I know it will be SO cute!
Posted by: Dianne | 03/20/2012 at 12:28 PM
EEEEEE! Oh my goodness it looks so cute!! I have no idea what is going on but I love it! :)
Posted by: Jeni | 03/20/2012 at 12:34 PM
My guess is that you did a print that looks like quilting...either cross hatching or stippling or loopy quilting.
Posted by: Mary | 03/20/2012 at 12:34 PM
well, first up i am thinking CUTE! this looks like a great line.
i will guess we will see some birds and flower, along with some stitched stripes?

Cross stitch! Love!
Posted by: Colleen | 03/20/2012 at 12:47 PM
It looks adorable, can't wait!! Love what we can see!
Posted by: Clara | 03/20/2012 at 12:52 PM
Ooh, how exciting! Hexagons! Grandmothers Flower Gardens. Cross stitching and hand quilting hexagons. Whatever it is you've done I know I'm going to love it! :)

Oh! Cross stitch :-) and some french nots. Love the little chick, so cute.
Love how this combines my two favourite things, quilting AND cross stitch :-) can't wait to see more.
Posted by: Sadie | 03/20/2012 at 01:09 PM
* d'oh - french knots!
Posted by: Sadie | 03/20/2012 at 01:09 PM
I am thinking it is to look like it has been embroidered. I think there will be companion prints with birds and flowers that have an embroidered look. It is just darling, and I am excited to see it all.
Posted by: Kristy | 03/20/2012 at 01:17 PM
Oh, how exciting! I love the sneak peek! I think there might be a larger hexagon print, maybe with larger cross stitch birds and flowers that you could stitch over? And maybe some 'basics' of running stitch/cross stitch lines/checks, etc? Oh, and maybe a fabric that has illustrations and the names of lots of different stitches scattered over it? I bet none of my guesses are right but I can't wait to see what you did design - it's bound to be fabulous!
P.S. Sorry if this appears twice, my connection is a bit dodgy!
Posted by: Archie the wonder dog | 03/20/2012 at 01:17 PM
It looks great! I hope there are more little birdies and more of the flowers that we can see in the SMALL piece you showed us. Can't we see a little more? When will it actually be available?
Posted by: mary | 03/20/2012 at 01:17 PM
I love it! Your new line's theme looks like it has something to do with embroidery...hence the name.
Posted by: Monica | 03/20/2012 at 01:19 PM
Oh, it looks so cute from that glimpse!
I'm guessing some images of embroidered stitches and your gorgeous embroidered characters.... Love the hexagons maybe some petals?
I just can't wait to see the rest!! x
Posted by: Joanne | 03/20/2012 at 01:19 PM
I agree...I thing it will be designs with a stitchy look to them....or other quilting desgins...log cabin, etc...with little stitchy designs in them, too....I am sure it will be delightful....and inspirational....eeekkkk.....
Posted by: michelle | 03/20/2012 at 01:20 PM
I'm guessing there's an 'embroidered' print. I'm knowing that I'll want to buy some! Lovely, lovely x
Posted by: Nicola | 03/20/2012 at 01:41 PM
ALL GOOD THINGS!!!!!! Can't wait to see more!
Posted by: Sally | 03/20/2012 at 01:43 PM
The little bird looks like the one in your embroidery with the owl. That joined with the hexies! fantastic.
Posted by: Penny G | 03/20/2012 at 02:00 PM
It looks amazing! From this print alone, I think this will be my favourite collection of yours, yet! :-) I think there'll be more patchwork block and embroidery themes and some cross-stitch prints, maybe? Oh, and some of your cute little girls stitching away?!
Posted by: Eva | 03/20/2012 at 02:21 PM
It looks beautiful and I am definitely getting it when it comes out! I love that hexi print!
Posted by: Jamie Lee | 03/20/2012 at 02:23 PM
It's called sew stitchy and it has little x's, so I'm thinking hand embroidery. I can hardly wait to see the complete line because I love everything you design, I own everything you have designed!!!!! Not every piece of fabric but I have a lot ♥
Posted by: cynthia | 03/20/2012 at 02:33 PM
I'm hooked!! I just started doing embroidery and this looks so cute!
French knots are utterly my favourite (along with robins!!) :)
Posted by: Lucy @ Charm About You | 03/20/2012 at 02:35 PM
Oh now I am even more bummed I won't get to go to market....sample spree madness! I am thinking a few more prints with hand sewing motifs and some more hexagon goodness?
Posted by: Mary Ann | 03/20/2012 at 02:36 PM
OH. My. Goodness, Aneela...I LOVE,LOVE, LOVE this! Embroidery hoops, thread spools, perhaps?!!! I have to sew with this!!!
Posted by: Sherri | 03/20/2012 at 02:37 PM
I predict you have more cross-stitched themed prints.
Posted by: Kathie L | 03/20/2012 at 02:41 PM
oooh, it looks adorable. can't wait to see it all!
Posted by: Paperstitch | 03/20/2012 at 02:43 PM
Sew very, very stitchy! I love the pieced hexagon with the embroidered motifs. I guess you've taken your stitcheries to the "final frontier"? We do love this, but then we always love whatever you do!
Posted by: Ute | 03/20/2012 at 02:46 PM
Ohh, how cute is this! But let me take a guess about your sew stitchy. Mmmh, since there're always people in your designs I believe there's a little girl somewhere. Then some basic prints with simple but unique designs like needles? And the colors? I vote for pink, red, blue, white and grey, really close to a walk in the woods but also a little bit of a light green. Now tell me please, how far away from reality am I;-)

Yay! So excited for your new line. I'm thinking little hexie embroideries? I can't wait to see the whole line.
Posted by: Andrea | 03/20/2012 at 02:53 PM
Oh so cute. I'm guessing more embroidery themed prints, buttons and hoops and more stitchy things. Vintage looking prints? Whatever it is I know i will want some. Have fun at Market.
Posted by: Mary Jo | 03/20/2012 at 02:59 PM
If you've gone with hexies then there must be some petals hiding in there somewhere! Can't wait to see the whole line :)
Posted by: Tracey Rampling | 03/20/2012 at 03:19 PM
Wonderful!! Maybe a coordinating stripe for a fun binding? Can't wait to see the whole collection.
Posted by: Caro | 03/20/2012 at 03:20 PM
all sorts of stitchy things, like cross stitch, knitting needles and yarn, etc.
Posted by: diane stanley | 03/20/2012 at 03:25 PM
I think the designs will be based on your new book Little Stitches. Those hexagons are way too cute!!! I can't wait to see the rest of the line. Thanks for giving us a sneak peek!
Posted by: Leila | 03/20/2012 at 03:36 PM
eeek! Love the hexies! And those little french knots are too precious. Is it all going to tie in with your stitchery book? that will be perfect for those of us a little too lazy to tackle embroidery. Though it's not my fault - my dog climbs into my lap every time I try to embroider, and at 70 lbs she can put a kibosh on any project!
Posted by: chelsea | 03/20/2012 at 04:09 PM
you.are.my.ruin. I see I will have to tighten the belt and save up in (extreme) anticipation of yet another adorable design! More stitched birds in different poses? Pleeease say there is a squirrel, please!!
Posted by: Bettina | 03/20/2012 at 04:12 PM
Ok you so have my attention on this design package. I cant wait to see the rest of it!
Posted by: Kristal | 03/20/2012 at 04:21 PM
Aneela, you are totally killing me! You are so prolific and I am loving just this tiny peep of your new line. It's got a 1930s/retro vibe to it. I'm thinking it's all about sewing room happiness.
Posted by: Allison | 03/20/2012 at 04:25 PM
I would have guessed that it is hand stitching? I see what look like hexies and cross stitch.
Posted by: Holly | 03/20/2012 at 04:32 PM
How exciting! it looks completely gorgeous - in line with all your other designs.
I think its inspired by those fab stitches your daughters have been making recently, along with cross stitch, hand embroidery and hexies.
Cant wait to see the whole range xxxx
Posted by: Liz | 03/20/2012 at 05:16 PM
LOVE! I am hoping that some of them look like little cross stitches! Can't wait to see it!
Posted by: Cherie | 03/20/2012 at 06:03 PM
It's adorable! It looks like hexies with embroidery designs on them. Sorry, i guess i'm not very good at guessing. ;p

Posted by: Heather | 03/20/2012 at 07:48 PM
Looks like cross stitch and some of your birdie embroideries with some hexes and maybe other quilt blocks. I would say it looks like your cutest line yet; just when I think you can't outdo yourself, you do!!!! Love it!!!!!!
Posted by: Gina k. | 03/20/2012 at 08:27 PM
oooh - fun! The mini print reminds of the shape of a machine bobbin case. I envisage, enbroidery hoops, thread bobbins, mini prints of cross stitches and lazy daisy stitches - oh and a mini hexagon print - getting excited to see what the whole range includes :-)
Posted by: Jane | 03/20/2012 at 08:42 PM
Loving the hexies and the embroidery and the birds.
Posted by: Tamie | 03/20/2012 at 08:44 PM
Ooh Aneela! This looks quite different to your others so far. :-) I wonder if there might be a bit more cross-stitchy-ness.
Posted by: georgia | 03/20/2012 at 08:55 PM
Looks like a bit of an English paper piecing and hand embroidery theme going on.
Posted by: Hope | 03/20/2012 at 08:56 PM
The hexagons remind me of paper piecing Grandmothers flower garden shapes and with some lovely cross stitch added in. It looks lovely so far.
Posted by: Donna | 03/20/2012 at 09:39 PM
I love the hexy's!
Posted by: Rie | 03/20/2012 at 10:01 PM
Oh Aneela!
This looks so gorgeous! I can't wait to see what else is in this collection. You blow me away with every new line. I'm still thoroughly in love with Walk in the Woods! It's so nice to know that there'll be new lovelies to inspire me once I'm finished playing with Little Red :)
Posted by: Kylie (Three Honeybees) | 03/20/2012 at 10:05 PM
Oh my gosh. What I'm thinking is, I hope I can get my hands on some of this very soon, in order to make a quilt to welcome our brand-new niece, Miss Lizzy. (A namesake! A namesake!)
On a less personal note, I'm wondering if some little girls will be seen stitching...perhaps tucking a sweet dog under a little blanket (I love your dogs!), as well as some fabric with little threaded needles and spools scattered across it in the same way the little apples were.
I cannot wait to see this line. This will be the red and aqua quilt I make--I am so glad I waited!
Posted by: Beth T. | 03/20/2012 at 10:13 PM
that print is precious! I think it's a bees and birds outside kind of print
Posted by: tiara | 03/20/2012 at 10:29 PM
Perhaps a stitching theme in your fun color choices. Maybe birds and quilty designs.
Love the look.
Posted by: Jan Richards | 03/20/2012 at 10:45 PM
love the french knots! Oooh a stitchy embroidery theme ... this looks amazing aneela ... yum!

Posted by: Justabitfrayed | 03/20/2012 at 11:33 PM
What ever it is I know that I will love it. It just looks adorable and a little old fashion
Posted by: Sandra Davidson | 03/20/2012 at 11:40 PM
Adorable perfection - cannot wait to see the full line! You are amazing!
Posted by: D. C. | 03/21/2012 at 12:03 AM
Hand stitching, embroidery, timeless treasures from the past all put into a quilt type style. Some old quilt patterns and solids to go with it.
Posted by: Lisa S | 03/21/2012 at 01:23 AM
You have done it again! Precious!!!
Posted by: SLS | 03/21/2012 at 01:29 AM
Ooh, I think I see fussy cut hexies...maybe it's your fav stitchy projects?
Posted by: Cecillia | 03/21/2012 at 01:32 AM
I will have to go along with everyone else and say it has to do with hand embroidery. So cute! I can't wait for it to be available.
Posted by: Cecilia | 03/21/2012 at 03:24 AM
I love fabric that has a sewing theme! Yeah! I'm working on a hexagon quilt right now and love it so much - I must have your hexi fabric! Can't wait to see the rest of the line! Hope there's maybe a thimble or scissors, spools, needles or something like that in there too! Love the cross stitch bits!
Posted by: Julie | 03/21/2012 at 03:52 AM
Has to be little quilt hex pieces.
Posted by: Jane T | 03/21/2012 at 04:14 AM
I see lots of lovely embroidery stitches so maybe there are more designs that people can follow to have sweet embroideries o their quilts and other sewing projects.
Posted by: Elisabeth | 03/21/2012 at 07:49 AM
You are such a clever girl. I love your designs and have some of all them so far in jelly roll, fat eights and charm squares so really looking forward of this new release. I am surprised that your poor head has not exploded with all the ideas filling it up. Are you like me and wake up designing during the night as well????
Posted by: Gillian Dempster | 03/22/2012 at 02:10 AM
A little cross stitch & embroidery perhaps? This looks darling!
Posted by: Heidi @ Fabric Mutt | 03/22/2012 at 03:18 AM
Love the hexies and little x-stitches!!
Posted by: Kirsten | 03/22/2012 at 04:56 AM
The fabric in the background is bullion roses, so I'm guessing there will be prints in the range that feature embroidery stitches. Definitely cross stitch. Love your fabrics!
Posted by: Sarah Rothe | 03/22/2012 at 11:25 AM
I would guess either quilting themes or stitching themes, perhaps items used to do either or both? Love the sneak peek.
Posted by: charlotte | 03/23/2012 at 11:47 AM
Love these, love your fabrics!!! Have been holding on to the scraps I have left and am really excited about your new line! The little bird & flower details are a really cute touch!
